SHIPPING INFORMATION

Effective Monday July 18,2011 we will be using United Parcel Service, (UPS) for some of our shipping destinations. Those destinations are as follows:

All States WEST of the Mississippi River will receive ALL shipments VIA UPS. These destinations are within the UPS 2-3 day delivery schedule from our shipping location.

All States EAST of the Mississippi will continue to receive all 10 & 15lb shipments, via USPS Priority Mail. 2-3 DAY Delivery.( We reserve the right to combine multiple box orders into one shipment unless you specify otherwise)

All 30lb SPECIALS and 50Lb Jumbo boxes will be shipped via UPS.(4-5 BUSINESS day delivery)

We are adding a Sister Shipping location in California. We will be offering California Almond Wood and California Red Oak, shipped directly from this California location.

ALL ORDERS RECEIVED BY 1:00pm MST, WILL BE SHIPPED THAT SAME DAY!! (Monday-Friday)

Weekend orders and orders after 1:01pm MST on Fridays will be processed the next business day.

MOST 10& 15lb BOXES ARRIVE 2-3 DAYS AFTER ORDER HAS BEEN SHIPPED.

30LB and 50LB BOXES ARE SENT UPS UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE AND ADITIONAL EXPENSE PAID FOR IN ADVANCE.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO COMBINE MULTIPLE BOX SHIPMENTS AND SEND VIA UPS UNLESS YOU REQUEST PRIORITY MAIL. We may add aditional 2-3 lbs of wood to your order if we do, as it is less expensive to ship combined orders over 20lbs VIA UPS

Monday completed orders will arrive on Wednesday or Thursday.

Tuesday completed orders will arrive Thursday or Friday

Wednesday completed orders will arrive Friday or Saturday.

Thursday completed orders arrive by Saturday or Monday.

Friday completed orders will arrive on Monday or Tuesday.

Orders placed after 2pm Friday or on Saturday or Sunday, will ship on Monday or next business day. (Holidays excepted)

Please remember that this schedule DOES NOT include any Holidays or days when there is no USPS service.

Each 10 & 15 pound box is filled piece by piece. This allows us to inspect the wood and fill the box COMPLETELY. We cut some chunks into smaller pieces to fill any open spaces. You wil have minimal air pockets in each box.

MIXED UP WOOD CHUNKS:

All wood for mixed up chunks is marked individually stamped with its variety. There are three layers in each 15lb box, and each variety wil have it own layer. No guessing to what you have or in case you happen to spill the box.

Refund, Returns and Cancellation Policies:

Refunds and returns are accepted. We have never had to issue a refund, and never had a return of our product. However, in the event that should ever happen, we will issue you a refund upon of the return of any item you are not happy with. Return postage is the responsibility of the purchaser. Once a order is recieved it is filled IMMEDIATLY. Invoices and postage fees are all processed between 3PM and 4:30pm MST. HOW OLD IS YOUR WOOD?

Old enought to smoke for extended peiods of time but not too old that they burn up like store bought wood pieces do. ___________________________________________________________

DOES THE WOOD HAVE BARK?

Yes, all our wood contains contain bark. We also have some wood that has small amounts of sap on the bark as well. ___________________________________________________________

WHAT ABOUT BUG AND INSECTS?

Fruita Wood Chunks does its best to harvest bug free wood. We inspect every CHUNK prior to shipping. Sure we may miss one of those little critters once in awhile, but you surely wont get any spiders or snakes.

DOES YOUR WOOD CONTAIN ANY PESTICIDES OR CHEMICALS?

NO! We are currently harvesting from a certified organic growers. We are restricted to how we harvest and what machinery and equipment we bring into the harvest area. Our equipment is lubricated with pure vegetable oils, and NO gas operated saws or other equipment are used in our final process of cutting and splitting.

REMEMBER: 90% of our wood is harvested from Growers who are certified organic. This means that they may have removed the trees due to an insect infestation that was not controllable naturally. Therefore there may be some insects in some of our wood, but we try to ship only insect free wood. It would concern us more if we never found any creatures in our wood. This would suggest something, other than organic, was used on the premisis.

We WILL NOT harvest fron non certified growers who used systemic type insecticides. This means that the insecticides were released via water propagation, and taken in by the root system into the trees. Systemic chemicals would then be prevalent in all the wood and could cause health problems if used for cooking meats. Systemic insecticides do not harm the fruits. Most of the insecticides are used to prevent damage to the trees from insects that attatck the leaves, bark, and the root systems. As the insects attatck these areas, they become sick stop eating and eventually starve to death.
