DISCLAIMER: THIS WOOD IS VERY HEAVY AND DENSE!!!

The wood of Mountain mahogany is so hard and dense that it will not float. Hense the other name for it "IRON WOOD" It provides excellent fuel, producing intense heat and burning for long periods. Because mountain-mahogany wood burns slowly, it was the preferred charcoal wood in the nineteenth century. It is also highly prized as a barbecue fuel.



This prized after wood is excellant for beef, including using on beef jerkey.

Limited supplies. This wood is well aged and bark free due to a fire a few years back. Some of the grey outside has fire marks on it, however the inside of the wood is a beautiful color.
